High in the Ecuadorian Andes, it gets pretty chilly at night. This warming cocktail is made using the local firewater, which is distilled from sugar cane and goes by the name of aguardiente.

Here's the list of what you need:
150g light brown sugar
150g dark brown sugar
Juice of 1 lime
Pinch of salt
6-8 whole cloves
4 small cinnamon sticks
120ml orange juice
What To Do
Pour 220ml water into a saucepan. Add the sugar, lime juice, salt, cloves and cinammon sticks
Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer gently for 5-10 minutes
Remove from the heat and stir in the orange juice and aguardiente
Return to the heat and heat through, but do not allow it to boil
